Other people’s travels: Wandersis bungee jumps in Nepal

Read part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.

Wandersis rode elephants and paraglided, but perhaps her most adventurous adventure in Nepal was jumping into the Bhote Koshi river on the border of Nepal and Tibet, from a bridge 520 feet above the gorge. Tied to a bungee cord, thankfully.

Also thankfully, someone thought to record the whole experience – the fear, the joy, the drama – in video. Even though I knew the ending (spoiler: she lives) I could still feel my heart thumping as she was pushed into the gorge.

Amazing.

  1. I was oblivious beforehand…thank God. Even when she e-mailed she was jumping into a canyon the next day, I still didn’t catch on. She is NOTHING like her mother! Still hard to watch. WM
